Under-fire Newcastle United boss Glenn Roeder has been tipped to move for Real Madrid firebrand Antonio Cassano on loan in January.
Italian international Cassano has failed to establish himself at the Bernabeu, and a string of rows with manager Fabio Capello have left him out of the first team picture.

Real are keen to send the striker out on loan in January, with a view to a permanent sale at the end of the season.
Roeder has led the Magpies to their worst start to a Premiership season, taking just eight points from 11 matches. Despite the £10million acquisition of Obafemi Martins from Inter Milan, Newcastle have scored just seven league goals, and Roeder knows he must add quality to his forward line.

With Roeder's future at St. James's Park increasingly uncertain, the Toon board are reluctant to spend massive amounts on transfers, and as such a loan move for 24-year-old could suit all parties
