AC Milan and Real Madrid are battling for River Plate sensation Gonzalo Higuain.

The Argentine youngster, who carries a French passport, is rated at £10 million, with his registration part owned by an investment company.

Milan transfers chief Ariedo Braida is currently in Buenos Aries to meet with River officials about Higuain. However, it's emerged today that the player's Dad and his agent, Roberto Recasens, were spotted in Madrid earlier this week, fueling talk that they were meeting with Real Madrid officials.
